Medical Insurance, such as Medicare and United Health Care, is designed for medically based services such as evaluation and treatment of glaucoma, eye infections, foreign body removal, or retinal detachments to name a few. Vision insurance, for example Spectera, OptomHealth Vision, or EyeMed cover vision exams that evaluate nearsightness and farsightness as well as provide benefits towards a pair of glasses or contact lenses.
